Bottle Palletizer
The need to palletize bottles (whether glass or plastic, full or empty) in order to reduce the costs of transport and logistics is growing in many sectors of industry, from food to glass. The manual palletizing solution is no longer acceptable both for its low efficiency and for its high labor cost. In the last decade, the use of the automatic bottle palletizers has spread, ever more widely.
These particular types of palletizers are built specifically for palletizing bottles and can achieve work rates unimaginable for manual palletizing. From the construction point of view, these palletizing machines are divided into layering bottle palletizers and robotic bottle palletizers. In the case of layering bottle palletizer, an entire layer of bottles is pre-formed on a special surface (preformation table) and then the layer of bottles is stacked on the pallet.
As for the robotic bottle palletizer, this is a robot (usually anthropomorphic) which is in charge of picking and placing bottles on the pallet. In this case the picking can be done either from the preformation table or directly from the bottle conveyor belt. Taking advantage of the high speed modern robots can work at and of the special grippers for picking the bottles (for example with devices for the quincequonce of rows), it is possible to eliminate pre-forming the layer of bottles, with countless advantages in terms of the performance and flexibility of the palletizing system. Usually, the gripper of a robotic bottle palletizer is also equipped with devices that allow the handling of pallets and packing materials (slipsheets, caps, etc.).
The robotic bottle palletizer is also proposed as an alternative to traditional bottle palletizers in cases where the space in the plant is limited: a palletizer robot is less bulky than a traditional bottle palletizer.
